Spectroscopic Continuum #38 is a unique illuminated glass sculpture exploring the relationship between colour, light and landscape. Three individually painted and kiln-fired layers of glass are encased within a sandblasted glass structure and illuminated by a detachable LED light panel. The layered imagery creates depth and a shifting sense of perspective, while the colour changes in intensity as light passes through the glass. Combining traditional glass-painting techniques with contemporary illumination, the sculpture has an atmospheric presence that alters according to its surroundings. It can be displayed freestanding on a table or shelf, or mounted directly onto a wall using its incorporated cleat hanging system.
