Lightscapes: Burnt Sienna is a unique wall-mounted glass artwork exploring colour, light and the shifting atmosphere of a landscape. Bands of burnt sienna, deep crimson, amber and yellow create the impression of a glowing horizon, while geometric forms introduce a subtle architectural presence. The glass has been acid-etched, silver-stained, painted with Reusche enamels and kiln-fired. These layered processes create variations in colour, transparency and surface, allowing the work to change subtly in different lighting conditions. The piece hangs directly on the wall using a cleat hanger attached to the reverse.

Widely exhibited, Helen Brough has been working as a committed artist for over thirty years. She is a multimedia landscape artist presently working in glass and aluminium. The glass is painted and fired in a kiln then the pieces are illuminated to produce wall mounted three-dimensional landscape light pieces.
