This miniature set of pots have been made using clay, seaweed, and a variation of stones and sands, all sourced along the coastline of the Isle of Wight. The forms have been influenced by Roman Pots which were excavated in the same area the clay for this collection was discovered.
The tones and textures of this set aim to show the variety in landscapes across the island. Wild clay connects artist and makers to their local environment, offering unique textures and qualities that reflect the landscape it comes from - in this case, the Isle of Wight, a place of significance to ceramicist Neve Beill, who spent much of her childhood there, playing in the same clay she frequently works with today.
