Sofía Barbé is a Uruguayan textile artist and maker based in London. Her practice explores visual expression and craft through needle felting and mixed media techniques. She creates joyful, playful soft pieces — wall hangings and soft sculptures — drawing inspiration from nature and gardens, childhood memories, daily life, and play. Her work aims to evoke smiles while encouraging a reconnection with one's inner child and the visual world.

Sofia’s pieces explore a variety of natural materials and fibres, many of which come from the gardening world, including coconut coir liner rolls, wool, jute mats, raffia and flax.
