Kathryn Tomasetti is an award-winning weaver, natural dyer and eco-printer who works exclusively with organic materials and home-grown plant dyes. Her specialism is one-of-a-kind handwoven textiles such as baby wraps, wall art, scarves and yoga blankets. She also shares her skills by teaching natural dyeing and eco-printing workshops.

Kathryn founded Botanical Weaves in 2022, when she was awarded the Staffordshire Start-Up Grant. She is also the winner of Cockpit Studios’ prestigious 2024 Dyers Award, sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Dyers.

Kathryn uses exclusively natural fibres. Almost all are reclaimed (meaning yarn and textiles that are secondhand, end-of-projects or may otherwise be thrown away). Her passion is to weave tradition with ritual. All of Kathryn’s vibrant natural colours — each one of which she cultivates or forages responsibly herself — come courtesy of organically grown traditional dye plants.
