Carolina Estrada

Carolina Estrada is a textile artist and researcher who explores matter as culture, focusing on how sensory interfaces connect people with technology and ancestral myths.

Her practice brings together culture, technology, and nature to expand our understanding of ecological systems. Her work is grounded in embodied knowledge, material narratives, and a critical engagement with Indigenous perspectives in the development of future technologies and sustainable practices.

Her work has been exhibited at the Hangzhou Triennial of Textile Art (2019), Pallay Pampa (ifa Gallery Berlin, 2021), the Havana Biennial (2024), the London Design Biennale (2025), and Common Ground (TextielMuseum, Tilburg, 2025). She was a speaker at the RCA Final Show (The Truman Brewery, London, 2023) and Making Futures: Beyond Craft (Plymouth College of Art, 2024).
