Caitlin Maxwell Hughan

Caitlin Maxwell Hughan is a dyer strengthening farm-to-fibre connections. Caitlin aims to make naturally dyed yarns, grown and processed in the UK, more accessible to designers, fostering collaboration across the supply chain. She is committed to local sourcing and regenerative practices, challenging conventional supply chains to build a business rooted in reciprocity rather than extraction. Her research explores alternative dye sources and pattering techniques to deepen engagement with material provenance.

A graduated of the RCA, Caitlin is based at Cockpit Deptford, supported by the Worshipful Company of Dyers. Caitlin sells naturally dyed yarns and takes on dye commissions for brands and research projects.
