Aline Cathy David is a specialist designer and maker of bespoke picture frames. Her work is informed by a deep appreciation for artworks and the periods in which they were created. She has spent many years designing and making unique Orientalist gilded frames for a world-leading gallery dedicated to Orientalist art. Aline is a master gilder, working in finishes such as water-gilding, oil-gilding, crackle, watercolour, and pastels, as well as inventing her own distinctive surface treatments.
